Jerry Donald was born and raised in Frederick County, Maryland. His mother was a nurse and eventually head nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital and his father was the principal of Middletown Middle School and Brunswick Middle School. They instilled in him a strong work ethic, a dedication to his morals, and an understanding of the importance of community.

Jerry was a social studies teacher in Frederick County for over 30 years. He has always had a passion for history and politics, and in 2014 decided to run for the newly-created Frederick County Council to make a positive impact in his hometown.

Jerry and his wife Beverly have been married for 33 years. They raised their three daughters in Braddock Heights. If you aren't able to make it to an event, you can find Jerry biking around Frederick County, kayaking on the Potomac River, or hiking on the local trails.
